We raise every puppy in our home, under our feet. A puppy becomes socialized much faster by being included in our normal household activities. This is the time consuming part- the socializing and nurturing of the pup- You just can't cut corners to do it properly. They are whelped in our master bedroom, and graduate to our living-room and puppy room as we keep a close eye on them while they grow.

For actual socializing and neurostimulation of the pups in each sensitive stage, we use the Avidog program and Puppy culture curriculum for the important nurturing and puppy rearing techniques. We have enrichment toys and tools at our disposal for each litter.

ETHICAL & HOLISTIC : As we don't have the kennel environment (times have certainly evolved!), we have loved bringing approved families on board for guardian families. This means we never have to retire a breeding female, as she is with her family from day one as a puppy! This is truly the best scenario for each doodle mama and dad from the start. We only plan breedings when we get deposits on a planned litter.

We will never cut corners on the health of our parents + puppies. This is why we choose to pour our concentrated efforts into proper supplementation and raw food (most biologically appropriate food for dogs) for them, as epigenetics plays massive roles in how healthy your puppy will be for life!

Good nutrient dense food choices made now and certainly while pregnant, have a very positive effects on our offspring. This is a pretty new concept in pet nutrition. It was first brought to my attention with the brilliant canine nutrition book by Dodds and Laverdure Canine Nutrigenomics (I highly recommend you check this out, find it here on Amazon). Epigenetics is a passion of ours, as we continually how gene expression is greatly influenced by nutrition and environment!

In summary, we know with every meal, that nutrition is literally forming the building blocks of your puppy’s lifetime health. We will help educate you so you can easily continue to build on the foundational health legacy introduced here!

FULLY HEALTH TESTED

Sadly, there are many breeders who are in the same market selling similar dogs who want you to believe their dogs are fully health tested. DNA test swab will test for over 150 diseases, but is the easiest and just the FIRST step in being fully health tested. Having fully health tested parents mean that the hips and elbows are certified by OFA or Pennhip. Their eyes have to be tested yearly by CERF, as well as their cardiac health being certified. Dog breeding the right way ensures healthier pups, and there should be no cutting corners! Yes- it’s time consuming with all of the certifications, and it’s costly to do it right, but that’s the level of integrity we strive to have. We hope that by raising the bar on our practices, families will become aware of better options and demand better than what lots of breeders pass off as fully tested breeding stock.
