Our Guardian Family Program is a unique opportunity open to local families within the Calgary area (Alberta, Canada). We take a lot of pride in the raising of our dogs and only want the very best for each and every one of them. Our Guardian Family Program was created to allow families the opportunity to bring home a Heritage Doodle puppy, selected by us at Heritage Doodles for a very reduced cost, in exchange for bringing the dog to some specific appointments, and helping raise and care for our breeding dogs.
Your Heritage Doodle dog will live with you and your family and when it becomes of age, it will be part of our breeding program for a select number of litters. This requires the guardian family some time spent bringing the dog to reproductive appointments for the progesterone testing and breeding, or being brought to our home during the breeding process. Once the Heritage Doodle Dog has completed its time as part of our breeding program, it is the Breeder’s responsibility to spay/neuter the Heritage Doodle dog. Once this is complete, we can then sign over ownership to you and your family - furever!
If you are selected for our Guardian Family Program, both ourselves, Heritage Doodles as well as the selected family, will sign a contract outlining all of the details and timelines to ensure everyone is on the same page.
We hold our Guardian Family Program very close to our hearts, it is extremely important to us that the families chosen for this program communicate with us regularly and we all come together to raise a happy, healthy dog. Our ideal candidates are those who are flexible and see the importance of furthering our genetic lines of therapy grade temperament doodles.
